Videogame individual cupcakes
Videogame playing has to be one of the coolest things out there for kids. There are a million wonderful party ideas that blew my mind. I’m not a Pinterest crafty kind of mom and some popular videogame party products hadn’t hit the market yet so I knew I had to take some serious shortcuts just to survive the planning.
The kids were set on a cake but I dreaded the idea of having to cut cake and serve over 30 kids. We compromised by using a square pan.
This Wilton pan was awesome. It’s perfect for small nlocks. The little squares are great for stacking too. The kids got to choose from a variety of cake flavors which added to the fun and cut out complaining from picky eaters!
To add to the fun we made an explosive pinata that was a big it. I used a cube soda-pop carton, streamers from the dollar store, and diluted Modge Podge. It was pretty self explanatory however the handle did need to be reinforced with duct tape and the bottom didn’t cave quite as quickly as planned.
Napkins taped to the wall made an incredible large wall decoration that pulled the room together.
We were lucky to find little potion shaped juices that played a bigger role in the fun than we expected.
